Ingredients

  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon celery seed
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Mix the dry seasonings in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Place the chicken legs in a large bowl and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss to coat, making sure the legs are well coated.
  • Add half of the seasoning blend and toss, then add more seasoning, as needed to make sure the legs are fully coated.
  • Place the chicken legs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Set the air fryer to 380°F and cook the chicken legs for 22-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. The chicken is done when the skin is crisp, and the juices run clear with the meat is pierced with a fork, or when they read 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer.

Notes

If your air fryer does not have a setting for 380°F, reduce the temperature to 375° F.  You may need to add 1-2 minutes to the cooking time depending on the wattage of your air fryer.
